Snapchat’s first Oscars spot was inspired by the historic Academy Awards nominations to CODA — a film that beautifully featured and celebrated the Deaf community.
With this work, featuring our suite of AR tools that can teach people how to fingerspell, we leveraged a unique moment in culture to show the world that Snapchat can improve the way people live and communicate, no matter who they are.
We ran two spots during the Oscars + corresponding print ads in the LA Times and Variety.
